- Empowering millions of voters to exercise their right to vote by holding voter registration drives, sponsoring candidate forums and debates, and informing the public about how to make their voices heard;
- Protecting the right to vote and ensuring that every vote is counted by fighting for free, fair, and accessible voting systems;
- Advocating for positive change at the local, state, and national level on issues such as civic education, government accountability, and money in politics; and
- Fostering civil dialogue about important community issues, such as government spending, fair housing, immigration, and civil liberties.
There are four leagues in Alaska: Anchorage, Fairbanks (Tanana Valley), Juneau, and Kenai Peninsula.
If you are not sure which league to contact, you can call, write, or email the State League [Contact Us]. If there is no chapter in your area, you may join as an Alaska State Member-at-Large. Send the State League an email and tell us in your message that you want to join as a member-at-large.
When you join the League, you will be a member at all levels – local, state, and national. Learn more about the League of Women Voters and what it means to be a member by visiting our membership page.
The recommended dues amount for all members across the country is $75, but members can pay as you can (minimum $20).

If you wish donate more, do not increase your dues amount. Instead, choose to donate directly to either your local, state, or US league via their websites.
